JEREMY KIMBER

Piano

Jeremy almost became a farmer but decided to go to the Welsh College of Music and Drama instead. Here he began with trombone as his first study, then, after becoming bored with playing only one note at a time, switched his focus to the piano, specialising in accompaniment. Since leaving college he has taught at all levels: beginners to diploma candidates, has performed as soloist and accompanist, conducted and examined. In addition to concerts in the UK, he has performed in Tanzania, Uruguay, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic.

Jeremy has worked with Young Musician competition winners from Australia, Germany and the UK and performed concertos by Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann and Rachmaninov. For eleven years he was Director of Music at Emmanuel Church, Loughborough. He now divides his time between teaching the piano at Nottingham University, performing — now almost exclusively as an accompanist/chamber musician — and examining for ABRSM.

DAVID MORRIS

Vocals

David started singing when he was very young. His first lesson was when he was six, with Zuilmah Hopkins, who remained his teacher for twelve years when he was awarded a scholarship to continue his studies at The Royal Academy of Music with John Kitchiner. 
 
After leaving The Academy David joined the Swingle Singers. While a member of this 
acapella octet he was lucky enough to travel all over the world, working with many musical greats, including Monserrat Caballe, Pierre Boullez, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
 
David then joined the English National Opera Chorus where he understudied the roles 
of Monostatos (Magic Flute), The song vendor (Il Tabarro), Boyar in Attendance 
(Boris Godinov) and Borsa (Rigoletto).
 
David is a regular soloist for the Bardi Wind Orchestra, performing in many of their charity summer concerts, and is now Head of Singing and Choirs at LSF Music.

CARILLON

String Quartet

Formed during spring of 2020 during lockdown, remotely for many months. They are Kath Eastwood-Paramore and Helen Feathers on violin, Janet Thomas on viola and Kathryn Barwell on cello. All play with Charnwood orchestra, share a love of music, friendship and joy of playing together.
